What a Weekend!

Wow! That was a busy and fruitful weekend for ESCoach athletes with many strong performances, podiums and PB's. Sam Hayward secured second place with a great performance at Marazion Middle distance triathlon, a tough course with lumpy swim and bike routes (yes that is right!) and a good solid run.

Tom Frost was also second at Eton Supersprint Triathlon on Saturday while Rob Booth finished third in the supersprint at the same location on Sunday. Meanwhile in the qualifiers for the sprint distance World Championships in Aukland later this year; Adrian Wilkins finished 10th in a competitive age-group and continues to improve performances race after race.

Bradford on Avon standard distance triathlon saw strong performances after illness for James Cross and a hard week of training for Simon Offord.

In the Bristol 10K Marie Kirton and Kate Synge both recorded new PB's on a good flat course in almost perfect conditions with Marie just missing out on the 40 minute barrier by 7 seconds (you'll get it next time Marie!!).

Maria Powell recorded a new PB for 10M TT at the Bristol South event on Saturday and finally but by no means bottom of the list; Tim Hallett put aside blistered feet and the ever hot and windy conditions in Lanzarote to finish his first ever Ironman distance race - will there be another one Tim? What a great group of athletes; I'm proud of you all for your efforts and achievements!
